Genee Scope
Genee Scope, a new digital microscope with a unique detachable head, is ideal for teachers and students, in the classroom or in the field. It has a USB connection, so you can magnify, capture, or modify images or video.
This is a solid, well-built piece of equipment that simply plugs in the USB port. There is a top (LED) light powered by the USB, & a bottom light for slides etc. powered by AA batteries.
The software is straightforward to install and very user-friendly, allowing you to capture and edit still or moving images (including time lapse). annotation tools for highlighting and labeling, a comparison tool for layering 2 images over each other, and a measuring tool for accurate measurement of subject matter.
